We took our oldest girls, Annabelle and Olivia, to the Archway Museum in Kearney today. It was a special treat just for the girls while the hubbies stayed back with all 7 of the other kids. While in the museum, we got to use headsets to hear the story of Kearney as the gateway to the West for Indians and Pioneers alike.
After the tour we took the girls to lunch at the Stagecoach restaurant inside the museum. We chowed down on barbecue, cheesy potatoes and yummy cornbread!
For the fourth we celebrated with hot dogs and hamburgers and a few friends. Alain and Rob picked up tons of fireworks for the big show and fun sparklers for the kids. We love spending the 4th in Nebraska because they have a huge fireworks display in their cul-de-sac! We played games with friends after the fire works ended around 11pm and stayed up until 1pm. The kids were up almost as late as the adults were! They did amazing!
